Solutions for the roofing industry

When the doors of Dach + Holz International open in Cologne from February 24 to 27, 2026, the Schröder Group will once again be represented with pioneering technologies for the sheet metal working industry. In Hall 8, Booth 8.326, the Bavarian machine manufacturer will showcase its broad portfolio – from robust craft machines to high-precision folding machines and motorized shears. The focus will be on how efficiency, repeat accuracy, and flexibility in the roofing industry can be further increased.

Tapered bending – an innovation with added value

One of the key innovations that visitors can experience at the Schröder stand is tapered bending – developed by Hans Schröder Maschinenbau. This technology makes it possible to produce conical and precisely fitting profiles on motorized folding machines – a decisive advance for builders who regularly work with parapet or wall copings and roof edge finishes or cladding with a slope. At the heart of this solution is an electronically controlled, two-axis back gauge that operates with high precision in the tenth of a millimeter range. This makes a task that used to be laborious to do by hand now simple, reproducible, and accurate.

Efficiency meets flexibility

The Schröder Group presents the MAKU, the most versatile machine at the trade fair, a motorized folding machine for up to 2.0 mm thick sheets and a working lengths of up to 2500 mm. With the option of tapered bending, it is ideal for all applications where precision and repeat accuracy are crucial. It impressively demonstrates how modern control technology makes traditional craftsmanship more efficient and accurate.

Hollow flanges redefined

The second main attraction is the PowerBend Multi (PBM) – a folding machine for up to 2.5 mm thick sheets , which impresses with several technical highlights. In combination with the rotating clamping beam, Schröder demonstrates a patented process for folding hems. The clamping beam is moved back, the sheet metal is clamped, and the folding beam is given the necessary space to move. This allows folding hems to be produced in a single operation – precisely and in a time-saving manner. The model on display at the exhibition demonstrates the implementation on a 2 mm thick steel sheet with a length of 3200 mm – a perfect example of efficient sheet metal processing in a modern tinsmith's workshop.

Motorized shears and classic machines for workshops

In addition to folding machines, the Schröder Group is also showcasing proven technology from its portfolio. The MHSU motorized shear, the entry-level model among motorized shears, impresses with a 750 mm back gauge that can be adjusted from the front and features a digital display. The machine on display at the exhibition is also equipped with the “Classic Cut” NC positioning control, which allows different gauge lengths to be programmed for greater precision and ease of use. Another new feature is the variable sheet metal hold-up device, which allows users to specify at the touch of a button whether the cut sheet metal is ejected to the front or rear. This solution offers maximum flexibility and saves time during production.

AK and ASK3 manual folding machines

With the AK (2000x 1.5) and the ASK 3 (1250 x 1.5), Schröder presents two proven machines for the roofing industry. The AK has a foot pedal and optional equipment such as a manual back gauge with digital display, bending angle gauge, and pneumatic bending support. With its patented eccentric quick-clamping system and large opening heights of up to 180 mm ( clamping beam), 120 mm ( bottom beam) and 142 mm ( folding beam), the ASK 3 segment folding machine offers maximum flexibility for a wide variety of workpiece shapes.

Innovation and precision – made in Bavaria

For decades, the Schröder Group has stood for quality, precision, and practical solutions in sheet metal working. At Dach + Holz International 2026, the company will once again demonstrate how technological advancement and craftsmanship requirements fit together perfectly.
