Bamboo expert and manufacturer MOSO® Bamboo is already riding a sustainable trend with its bamboo products for façades, terraces, indoor flooring and commercial construction. Now, in collaboration with system provider Karle&Rubner and in cooperation with Derix, experts in CLT engineering construction, the specialists have developed a complete façade system for sustainable timber construction. MOSO® Bamboo will present the new system for the first time at DACH+HOLZ 2026.

In collaboration with system provider Karle&Rubner, which specialises in aluminium substructures, and in close cooperation with the timber house construction engineers at Derix, MOSO Bamboo has developed a complete system combination with bamboo façade elements for the exterior façade and bamboo wall cladding for the interior walls.

Specifically, the prefabricated system consists of the following components: MOSO Bamboo façade elements for the exterior cladding, aluminium substructure with steel clips from Karle&Rubner plus insulation, cross-laminated timber (CLT) as a solid wood wall and, finally, bamboo wall cladding from MOSO Bamboo on the interior.

With their expertise in solid wood construction and CLT as a high-tech building product for sustainable solid wood construction, the engineers at Derix supported the development and helped to develop the combination of CLT and bamboo. MOSO Bamboo manufactures the corresponding exterior and interior bamboo boards for the new façade system so that the clip system from Karle&Rubner can be fitted directly. This facade system is therefore not only sustainable and advantageous in terms of building physics, but also quick and efficient to install. The new facade system meets all requirements for modern timber house construction. The external facade cladding is closed. Fire protection class B-s2-d0 is met. General building approval has been applied for.
