Fiber cement: A material that convinces
Since its invention, fiber cement has been considered the epitome of modernity. By combining air, water, cement, cellulose, and reinforcing fibers, fiber cement is one of the most environmentally friendly and versatile building materials.

Fiber cement products are non-combustible (A2-s1,d0) and absolutely dimensionally stable and weather-resistant. The material easily withstands severe frost and heavy rainfall as well as high heat and direct sunlight and is resistant to fungi, pests, and chemicals – ideal for low-maintenance, sustainable solutions. According to the BNB (Assessment System for Sustainable Building), it has a service life of 50 years and offers versatile design options.

A product with dual function
Cedral fiber cement slates are a true 2-in-1 product: they are suitable for both roof and façade, enabling seamless design solutions with a single slate. With their wide color palette, smooth or textured surfaces, and formats ranging from 20 x 20 cm to 40 x 80 cm (XL format), they offer flexible design possibilities – for modern, traditional, or heritage-protected roofs, for vertical surfaces such as gables or dormers, or for impressive façades.

Cedral fiber cement slates impress with their multi-layer fiber structure, which provides high strength while allowing thinner slate thicknesses – ideal compared to concrete. These material properties make handling and processing on site easier.

Cover patterns for every taste
Designing a roof or façade is not just a technical decision but also an aesthetic one. Fiber cement slates offer an impressive variety of cover patterns, giving planners, builders, and installers great creative freedom – both in renovation and new construction. When used in combination, they create visually continuous building envelopes for roof and wall, giving the building a distinctive, seamless character.

A total of six Cedral cover patterns can be used on both roof and façade, enabling a consistent building envelope. These include, for example, the double coverage, which offers particularly high rain protection thanks to its two-layer overlap – ideal for steep roofs or exposed façades. Classic and lively is the pointed shingle coverage, where overlapping, pointed slates create a structured appearance. The Linum coverage impresses with its staggered slate arrangement and offers an economical, modern solution. For striking accents, the rhombus coverage stands out: its diamond shape gives roofs and façades a distinctive geometric effect while ensuring efficient water drainage – ideal for demanding architectural concepts.

With nine additional cover patterns, Cedral also demonstrates its design diversity on façades. For example, the honeycomb coverage creates a characteristic shingled look. It is suitable for regionally typical new buildings as well as for heritage-compliant façade renovation. Characteristic features of the honeycomb coverage are the slate shapes with a trimmed or rounded corner, giving the layout its unique appearance. The Novum coverage is an attractive solution for a structured façade design with a system. Its defining feature is the continuous vertical joint between the fiber cement slates. The Plenum coverage is the lively way of designing façades: it combines the impression of a wild coverage with the controlled method of storm-proof double coverage.

Cedral cidings for structured façade designs
As an alternative to small-format slates, Cedral cidings offer an equally aesthetic and flexible design element for façades. They are also installed in combination with a ventilated façade system (VHF). With their slimmer geometry and linear structure, they are particularly suitable for modern façade designs – for existing buildings as well as parts or entire façades in new construction. They are available in a wide range of modern colors, allowing homeowners and architects to create individual and impressive houses. Cidings come in two versions: Cedral Lap and Cedral Click.

Timeless classic: Cedral Lap
The full-edge Cedral Lap cidings create a clear surface with structured lines – whether as full cladding or as an accent element. Cidings can be used for new-build and renovation projects as overlapping cladding, vertical installation, open joint, or board-and-batten cladding. Board-and-batten and overlapping cladding are proven techniques, mainly used in classic façade design. Both installation methods give the façade a traditional and timeless charm while ensuring functionality and protection against weather influences.

Modern appearance: Cedral Click
Cedral Click cidings with tongue-and-groove connection create a modern, flush-fitting façade. Cidings can be installed horizontally or vertically. The tongue-and-groove connection offers numerous advantages, making it an ideal solution for façade cladding. It enables easy and quick installation, as the cidings fit precisely into each other to form an even surface. The exact alignment minimizes visible joints, which not only looks aesthetically pleasing but also provides reliable protection against moisture and weather influences.

Energy-efficient façade renovation with Cedral cidings
Cedral cidings offer roofers a valuable renovation alternative for buildings with an existing external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS). Thanks to thermal bridge-free façade anchors and special adapters, cidings can be mounted easily and securely directly onto the existing ETICS. This saves costly demolition work, reduces time, and minimizes costs – a major advantage for craftsmen and builders alike.
