DACH+HOLZ International 2026 ready for take-off: ‘The industry participates full power ahead!’

With a strong tailwind from the industry and an overwhelming market interest, DACH+HOLZ International is starting preparations for its next edition: The roofing and timber industry will meet in Cologne from 24 to 27 February 2026.

Munich/Cologne, 24 April 2025

DACH+HOLZ International 2026 is already attracting great interest from the industry. Many market leaders have signalled their participation, and the trade fair team has received broad support from trade, industry and associations. ‘Talks are in full swing, the dialogue with players from all sectors is intense and we can feel that the industry is fully energised,’ says Robert Schuster, Director DACH+HOLZ International. ‘Our trade fair concept is welcomed and actively supported from all sides. The bookings from key players such as Paul Bauder, Prefa, Ladenburger Holzwerke, Schlechtl Maschinenbau, Steico and Weinmann Holzbausystemtechnik prove this most impressively.’

Concentration on the future: the focus topics

DACH+HOLZ International 2026 will focus on the industry's most important future topics: timber construction, sustainability, the plumbing trade, start-ups & innovations, HR & occupational health and safety as well as digitalisation & social media. These topics will not only be visible at the exhibitors’ booths at the trade fair centre in Cologne but will also be reflected in networking formats and lecture offerings. In addition, the new Workspaces concept, which premiered in 2024, will be developed further: In Halls 6, 7 and 8 various forums will offer exchange, further training and inspiration – focusing on topics such as ‘Future’, ‘Wood’ or ‘Metal’. For the first time, exhibitors will get the opportunity to become directly involved in these Workspaces by using them as a platform for their own content. This will result in innovative approaches – for example in the areas of roof and façade greening, energy-generating roof systems or AI-supported applications – making them even more visible within the trade fair programme.

Proven hall structure also in Cologne

The programme of DACH+HOLZ International 2026 in Cologne covers Halls 6 to 9 as well as the outdoor area, which will once again reflect the industry’s variety. Hall 6 shows the areas of pitched and flat roofs as well as the start-up area. Hall 7 focuses on timber construction, insulation materials and woodworking machinery. Drainage technology and the plumbing trade have found a home in Hall 8. Hall 9 accomodates the joint stand of Holzbau Deutschland and the ZVDH, the BG BAU interactive show and a wide range of tools, ladders, scaffolding and machines for metalworking. Thanks to clear routing and organisation by topics, trade visitors benefit from short walking distances and content-related synergies within the halls.

Cologne – an attractive trade fair location

Cologne and its surrounding region belong to the economically strongest trade locations in Germany, with a high density of companies in the building trade. For exhibitors, this means short distances to their target groups. Thanks to its central location and excellent connections, Koelnmesse is easy to reach from within Germany as well as from abroad – no matter if by train, by plane or ba car. The Cologne Messe/Deutz railway station is right next to the exhibition grounds, and the city centre and main railway station are only a few minutes away. The diverse cultural and gastronomic offer make a visit to Cologne an attractive one even outside the exhibition halls. Exhibitors and visitors looking for discounted rooms can find suitable offers via the DACH+HOLZ International hotel portal: https://www.dach-holz.com/en/trade-fair/general-information-and-services/stay

New: Networking around the trade fair with the DACH+HOLZ Platform

Anyone who wants to network with the industry already before DACH+HOLZ 2026 opens its gates can do so via the new DACH+HOLZ Platform. This combines the trade fair's previous website with DACH+HOLZ CONNECT and now offers participants a central space for dialogue 365 days a year. Registered users can discover personalised content, network with other experts and prepare their visit to the trade fair. The platform makes it possible to benefit from an active network and useful information both before and after the event. The DACH+HOLZ Platform complements the face-to-face event and thus creates a continuous connection to the industry.

DACH+HOLZ International, the trade fair for green building: building envelope & structural timber construction, will take place from 24 to 27 February 2026 at the Cologne Exhibition Centre. Further information at https://www.dach-holz.com/en
