SHERPA SONUS – Rethinking acoustic performance in timber construction
Less structure-borne sound, full load-bearing capacity, simple installation: with SONUS, SHERPA introduces a new way of thinking in timber construction. Discover the technology live at DACH+HOLZ 2026 in Cologne.
With the SONUS technology, SHERPA presents a globally unique solution for reducing structure-borne sound in modern timber construction at DACH+HOLZ International 2026. SONUS is the first load-bearing timber connector in which the fasteners are specifically bonded with an integrated damping layer. This significantly reduces sound transmission at floor and wall connections without compromising structural performance.
Unlike conventional decoupling solutions, SONUS is designed as a structural connector. No additional layers or special detailing are required. The technology enables acoustically optimized constructions with simple installation and a high level of design reliability, making it particularly suitable for multi-storey timber buildings.
SHERPA will present the SONUS technology at DACH+HOLZ International, Hall 7, Stand 7.305, at the joint stand of Advantage Austria.
