Sole and Head Plate in Lightweight Timber Frame Construction – Live at DACH+HOLZ 2026

Using Kerto LVL L or Kerto LVL T in the sole and head plate can reduce material use by around 50% compared to traditional timber frame construction. This is made possible by significantly slimmer cross-sections, which also help to minimise thermal bridging.

Thanks to its excellent dimensional stability, Kerto LVL serves as an alternative to CW profiles, while maintaining straightness. Calibration allows the component thickness to be manufactured with a precision of ±0.5 mm, increasing process reliability in automated prefabrication.

At our stand in Cologne, we will present this application in a practical wall build‑up. Visitors will see how Kerto LVL L as the sole or head plate and Kerto LVL T as studs in 45×100 mm deliver stability, precision, and highly efficient processing.

Visit us in Hall 7, Stand 7.211 – and discover how Kerto LVL redefines timber frame construction.
