The fully electric K350 E – powerful performance for the construction site

Klaas set an important milestone with the market launch of its first battery-powered trailer crane in autumn 2022. Since then, the fully electric product line has been consistently expanded. The K350 E quickly became the top seller among Klaas trailer cranes.

The 3.5-tonne crane impresses with its modern, practical equipment, high driving comfort and exceptional performance data. Equipped with a hydraulically telescopic folding jib, it achieves a hook height of 31.8 m. A lateral reach of 22 m with a 250 kg load – at a height of almost 20 m – underlines its strength. In addition, the manoeuvrable trailer crane can be easily converted into a fully-fledged aerial work platform with a working height of 29 m.

At the heart of the K350 E is its powerful battery-powered electric motor, which operates completely independently and emission-free. Its impressive energy balance is evident in daily use: even after a long working day with numerous lifting and turning operations and intensive use of the self-propulsion system, the batteries still have around 50% of their capacity remaining in the evening. This is thanks to the powerful lithium battery system and the intelligent stop-and-go automatic system, which only activates the electric motor when the crane is actually in operation.

For users, this means maximum efficiency on the construction site: for example, two single-family homes can be completely covered with roofing materials without draining the battery. Even as an aerial work platform, the K350 E effortlessly handles demanding tasks with many movement cycles in pure battery mode.

The energy storage unit can be conveniently charged via a 230-volt socket. To keep the energy storage unit at a constant level, charging can also be carried out while the crane is in operation. The current energy status can be checked at any time via an app or PC. The safety battery used is designed so that it cannot burn or explode.

Intelligent networking with Trackunit

For maximum transparency and ease of servicing, the K350 E is equipped with a Trackunit GPS tracking system as standard. The integrated unit records essential engine and equipment data, including operating times, wear and maintenance status, diagnostics and functional parameters. This information is transmitted to a server and can be conveniently viewed via the Trackunit Manager.

In the event of a problem, remote diagnosis enables Klaas service staff to perform a quick analysis – often with immediate troubleshooting. This reduces downtime and sustainably increases the crane's profitability.
