Clay earth has many excellent properties: it regulates indoor air humidity better than other materials, it is regionally available, natural and easy to work with as it is kind to the skin and dries instead of setting.

Clay plaster and the WEM systems - an ideal combination! As a heavy material, clay is not only good at sound insulation, but also stores heat. This means that clay walls can store energy in winter in conjunction with wall heating or through the low sun and release it back into the room. In summer, cold water can be channelled through the pipes and the solid, cool clay walls gently air-condition the rooms without draughts or noise.
The WEM clay system includes clay panels, universal clay plaster, fine clay plaster, reinforcing mesh, fine/grained primer, clay paint and clay adhesive.

WEM CLAY PRODUCTS
WEM specialises in the manufacture of a range of clay products, the development of which is based on the experience gained from more than 6,000 construction projects, many collaborations and countless tests, trials and measurements. In addition to the WEM climate elements (with integrated heating pipes) for walls and ceilings, there are clayboards as levelling and finishing boards for all areas of application. WEM clay plasters are DIN-tested, are very easy to work with and are perfectly suited for use with wall heating. Of course, they are equally suitable for all surfaces without heating. The well-covering, ecological WEM clay paint (available in blossom white and antique white) is suitable for finishing the finished surfaces. The clay adhesive (WEM adhesive and reinforcing mortar) is used to bond wood fibre insulation boards and clay boards (with additional mechanical fastening).
