DACH+HOLZ International 2026 will be represented by two outstanding trade professionals as new ambassadors: Journeyman carpenter Theresa Damm and master roofer Dominik Nöcker. With their expertise and commitment to the trade, they are working together to promote their industry's leading trade fair.
DACH+HOLZ International 2026, the leading trade fair for the roofing and timber industry, has found its new faces: Journeyman carpenter Theresa Damm and master roofer Dominik Nöcker will represent the trade fair. The expert jury, consisting of representatives from the Central Association of the German Roofing Trade, Holzbau Deutschland and GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH, decided in favor of the two. "Numerous good applications were submitted, 35 percent of which were from female carpenters and roofers," reports trade fair director Robert Schuster. "We had a colorful mix from all age groups and federal states. The choice was really difficult again. The applications unanimously state that the applicants want to promote their trade as the face of the trade fair and motivate the next generation."
Theresa Damm, journeyman carpenter from Munich
21-year-old Theresa Damm is currently completing her journeyman's certificate in carpentry and is training at the Frank carpentry company in Munich. She did an internship in a carpentry workshop back in the ninth grade and decided to develop her career in this trade. Since then, she has been involved in various careers information days at schools and at trade fairs such as the International Crafts Fair in Munich to inform young people about career paths in the carpentry trade. Theresa is enthusiastic about wood as a material: "I love the smell of wood and all the things you can make from it. In my apprenticeship, I'm particularly looking forward to the challenge of tackling new things and then creating them - both for myself and together with others." With her commitment to promoting young talent, she believes that she can represent DACH+HOLZ International excellently.
Dominik Nöcker, master roofer from Sundern (NRW)
34-year-old Dominik Nöcker is an experienced master roofer who is passionate about his trade. His enthusiasm for the trade was awakened at an early age by his grandfather, a professional hunter, with whom he built tree houses in the forest. His older brother, a trained carpenter, also inspired him: he really wanted to work on roofs and chose the roofing trade because of the diversity of the profession. Dominik received his journeyman's certificate in 2009, followed by his master craftsman's certificate ten years later. "For me, the roofing trade is the most exciting thing there is," says Dominik. His enjoyment of challenges and his passion for the trade make him an ideal ambassador for DACH+HOLZ International 2026.
Theresa Damm and Dominik Nöcker will not only appear on posters, but also on the trade fair website, in videos, trade media and social media channels and as guests of honor at DACH+HOLZ International 2026. Both are looking forward to representing the trade fair with their commitment and expertise and giving visitors insights into their professions.
