Start-up area: Hotspot for innovation and entrepreneurial spirit
From February 24 to 27, 2026, DACH+HOLZ International will present pioneering ideas and products from young enterprises. Interested companies can now register for the Start-up Area.
The Start-up Area in Hall 9 offers young, innovative companies a platform to present their pioneering solutions for roofers and carpenters. Over 20 national and international start-ups will be presenting newly developed or significantly improved products, processes and services in this field: practical, solution-oriented – from the trade for the trade.
Exhibitors will also have the opportunity to pitch their innovations on a dedicated stage and talk to experts, decision-makers and a broad specialist audience. The Start-up Award, recognising outstanding contributions, will also be presented during the trade fair.
From start-up to industry star
Haidl GmbH from Passau impressively demonstrates the boost that participation in DACH+HOLZ International can provide for young companies. Founded in 2018 from a craft business, the father-son duo Johann and Johannes Haidl developed practical tools for everyday use on construction sites. The decisive step towards visibility happened in 2022 with them first exhibiting in the Start-up Area at DACH+HOLZ International, where they not only made direct contact with their target groups, but also won the Start-up Award with the “ProfiTube” downpipe system.
This was followed by further trade fair appearances, growing awareness and new partnerships – including with the developer of the Flat Roof Fox, which Haidl now helps to distribute. Their presence at DACH+HOLZ International thus became an integral part of the company’s strategy – always with the goal of presenting and further developing innovations based on practical experience. In 2026, Haidl will return to DACH+HOLZ together with Rooffox GmbH – no longer as a start-up, but as a fully grown company with its own stand and new developments in its luggage.
