Since 2005, Milwaukee has been part of Techtronic Industries (TTI), one of the largest manufacturers of power tools based in Hong Kong with over 48,000 employees worldwide and a turnover of USD 13.25 billion (2022). The TTI group of companies is considered a leader in the introduction of lithium-ion batteries in tools. TTI was founded in 1985 by the German Horst Julius Pudwill and the Chinese Roy Chi Ping Chung as one of the first international joint ventures in China.
