The Mainhausen-based company Silikal has launched a waterproofing product that meets high standards, following successful product testing according to EAD and the European Technical Assessment (ETA). Silikal RU 325 Pigmented resin is particularly suitable for roofs of public buildings, industrial facilities, and halls, where owners and users can demonstrate compliance with the current state of the art through this certification.
A key criterion of the EAD testing is service life, for which Silikal RU 325 Pigmented has achieved the highest rating, W3, corresponding to a minimum service life of 25 years. Equally important for roofs used worldwide is performance under fluctuating surface temperatures: the new resin withstands a range from –30 °C to +90 °C.
Like all Silikal methyl methacrylate (MMA) waterproofing resins, this product offers numerous advantages. It is applied seamlessly and over the entire surface. Installation is practical and straightforward: after priming, the ready-to-use Silikal RU 325 Pigmented is applied together with Silikal TEX fleece. The waterproofing resin cures within one hour, even at low temperatures. Silikal RU 325 Pigmented comes pre-pigmented in the standard color RAL 7032 and is available upon request in other common RAL colors.
