FHS Holzbau: CLT elements with exclusive visible surfaces, CLT staircases
Exclusive exposed surfaces on CLT elements in numerous premium wood species: silver fir, larch, oak, Swiss stone pine, Canadian maple, American walnut, … also available with integrated hydronic ceiling heating and/or built-in electrical cable channels.
The exclusive visible surfaces on cross-laminated timber are practically crack-free and almost furniture-grade quality. The barrier layer between the last layer of boards and the elegant surface, offset by 90°, prevents any cracks from penetrating the CLT element. This allows interior spaces—walls and ceilings alike—to be designed elegantly and comfortably without the need for drywall construction. Heating loops for water-based ceiling heating can also be installed in the ceiling and under the barrier layer and visible surface, which can alternatively also be used for cooling. Cable ducts for electrical wiring can also be installed.
