The modern world of photovoltaics, green roofs, air conditioning and ventilation systems, skylights, and strip lighting requires regular maintenance. Roof inspections are becoming increasingly necessary, making a well-thought-out roof fall protection concept essential for planners, architects, and building owners alike. Guardrail systems are usually the simplest solution, as they do not require additional training or PPE.
Our special solutions can handle even difficult situations: construction site guardrails, dome and skylight guardrails or maintenance walkways for photovoltaic roofs, our systems ensure that every roof edge is safe. The integrated expansion joints in the rails compensate for changes in length due to heat or cold affecting the material. This keeps the railing in line and prevents movement of the railing and any resulting damage to the roof sealing.
The new DIN EN 13374:2025 has come into force and replaces the previous version from 2019. It defines the current requirements and test procedures for temporary side protection systems. SKB guardrail systems already meet the requirements of the new standard and can therefore be used without restriction.
