The Klaas e-concept: mobile, cost-efficient, low-emission
Almost all Klaas crane models can be equipped with a hybrid package, enabling them to be driven by a low-noise and low-emission electric motor. Three battery-powered electric cranes, which operate completely autonomously and without a power connection, further advance the Klaas e-concept.
K350 E - the trailer crane that doesn't need a power connection
With the K350 E, Klaas is launching another trailer crane in the 3.5 tonne class with modern equipment, high driving comfort and outstanding performance values. It has a hook height of 31 metres and a maximum load capacity of 1,600 kg. The lateral outreach with a load of 250 kg is measured at 22 metres. The crane works with a hydraulically telescoping folding jib so that it can be set up and used even where space is limited. The K350 E can be converted into a fully-fledged aerial work platform in accordance with EN 280 without tools or great effort. This enables safe and comfortable working at heights of up to 29 metres.
The K350 E also scores points with its battery-powered electric motor, which allows it to work completely independently and sustainably. The powerful energy storage system is a 22 kWh lithium battery that can be fully charged via a 230-volt socket. To keep the battery level constant, the charging process can also be carried out during crane operation. However, this is not necessary: Thanks to a consumption-orientated setting and the powerful battery, the K350 E can easily be operated for over 12 hours. Even in working platform mode, the crane can carry out larger tasks in battery mode and without an annoying power cable. Working without a cable not only enables high mobility, but also fast position changes on large construction sites.
