ith more than 14,000 students, around 2,000 graduates every year, 10 faculties, about 100 degree programmes, 14 in-house and five affiliated institutes as well as four competence platforms, FH Aachen, is one of the largest and most important universities of applied sciences in Germany.
FH Aachen has offered the Timber Engineering Bachelor's degree programme since 2010. At the Faculty of Civil Engineering, timber construction is represented by a total of four professors whose research focus areas complement each other. In addition to teaching, a number of application-oriented research projects are currently being worked on at FH Aachen. The research projects and their key findings, resp., will be presented within the framework of the lecture.
