What began in recent decades in small and medium-sized timber construction companies with automatic manual devices and continued over the years with path-controlled automatic clamping devices is now a so-called nailing bridge for the production of small quantities in element construction. This is characterised by low acquisition costs compared to profile solutions and can also be used in production halls with limited space requirements. When using automated solutions, there is another point that should not be ignored, which in many cases has had a positive effect, particularly with regard to the increasing shortage of skilled labour: Employees can be deployed for other value-adding activities in the company by reducing the workload in pre-production.

ITW has these and also more extensive modular clamping and nailing devices in its portfolio, which can be used in the fixtures (nail bridges) of the leading manufacturers of woodworking machines and lead to high productivity - all "Made in Germany" and based on application and customer-specific requirements. Thanks to continuous further development over the last few decades, the Toolmatic brand is now one of the market leaders in the timber construction industry.

The possibility of combining TOOLMATIC components means that optimum, customised solutions can be offered.

1 | Drive unit    2 | Magazine    3 | Fasteners

With a high magazine capacity of up to 2500 fasteners in accordance with Eurocode 5, the Toolmatic modules offer sufficient options for professionally fastening several timber construction elements without having to change the magazine. This can be changed quickly and easily on the module in a few simple steps. Sensors for magazine and nail control continuously monitor the stapling process and thus guarantee consistent product quality. Another key point is the high fastener driving speed and low air consumption. This also plays an important role in terms of saving energy costs and is often neglected
