HVP connector - Now also available as a customised product with ETA approval
With the growing interest in environmentally friendly building practices and the search for innovative, customised solutions for complex constructions, high-performance timber construction connection systems have become almost indispensable.
The Pitzl triple HVP connector is one solution among these connecting elements. However, it is just one example of many that demonstrate the wide range of high-quality connection systems that Pitzl has developed and produced for customised construction.
These products are not only characterised by their versatility, but are also covered by ETA approval. This manufacturing option gives architects and construction engineers the opportunity to have customised special timber connection systems calculated and manufactured that are specifically designed to meet the requirements of their particular construction project.
Pitzl therefore not only offers suitable solutions, but also special products that comply with strict European standards and are confirmed by a recognised ETA approval (European Technical Assessment).
The Pitzl triple HVP connector
The Pitzl triple HVP connector represents an innovation that was specially developed for the largest timber construction project in Asia. This building houses the business school of Nanyang Technological University (NTU). When designing this connecting element, the focus was on creating a solution that fulfils the specific requirements of this large-scale project and is also covered by an ETA approval.
The approach was as simple as it was effective: the load-bearing capacity was to be increased step by step, starting with the tried-and-tested HVP single, through the double load-bearing capacity of the HVP double, to the triple load-bearing capacity through the integration of three dovetails with three times the number of screws.
Customised construction you can rely on - for your projects too
The performance and reliability of the Pitzl triple HVP connector has been proven through a series of tests. The results of these tests were promising and confirmed the ability of the triple HVP connector to withstand even the most demanding construction projects. Its high load-bearing capacity and flexibility enabled the architects and structural engineers to design a creative and unique timber structure for the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) building that is both aesthetically pleasing and structurally robust.
