For more than 75 years, fischer has established itself as a global technology leader in key areas of fastening technology. The product portfolio includes a comprehensive range of screws, numerous other fastening solutions, and a wide array of services for carpenters, roofers and other trades.
In timber construction, fischer PowerFast II and PowerFull II structural screws are regarded as particularly safe, efficient and economical. The portfolio is complemented by an extensive range of chipboard screws for optimal connections of, for example, OSB and particle boards as well as other engineered wood products to solid timber components, along with numerous special screws for a wide variety of applications. The application range of the fischer PowerFast II chipboard screw covers all timber-to-timber and timber-to-metal connections and is also approved for use in fischer plastic anchors with tested loads. Newly available are fischer PowerFast II chipboard screws in A2 and A4 stainless steel, enabling permanently load-bearing and approval-compliant fixings for outdoor applications. Continuously adjustable spacer fixings are made faster, easier and more precise with the fischer FAFS adjusting screw.
The broad range includes various structural timber screws, special screws, drywall screws and stainless steel screws, each available with suitable head types (countersunk head, stepcountersunk head, disc head, panhead, hexagon head with integrated washer, cylinder head, trumpet head), drive types (TX internal star, Pozidriv PZ and Phillips PH) and materials (stainless steel, electro-galvanized steel or phosphated steel). Flexibility is a key advantage of the fischer PowerFast II stepcountersunk head screw: it may be driven flush with the surface in timber components in compliance with approvals like a standard countersunk screw, while achieving nearly the head pull-through resistance of disc head screws — thus reducing stock variety. An optimized color-coding system, consistently applied to the screw packaging, now makes orientation in-store even easier. The packaging design clearly conveys all key information about the product, its applications and suitable base materials at a glance.
Beyond its extensive screw range, fischer offers further innovations for optimized timber applications. With the FGW 90F setting tool, nails can be driven efficiently, economically and safely into timber. The fischer UltraCut FBS II concrete screw and the fischer FAZ II Plus bolt anchor are also ideally suited for anchoring timber structures in concrete.
The fischer FIS EM Plus injection system for bonding FIS A anchor rods or flush-mounted FIS IG internally threaded anchors enables the transfer of high tensile loads and offers a wide range of applications in engineered timber construction. fischer also provides smart solutions with its construction chemicals portfolio, which includes building foams, sealants and adhesives. These products cover filling, sealing, bonding, cleaning and protection tasks and are suitable for applications involving timber, wood-based materials and interior finishing. Hybrid adhesives and sealants are reliable all-round solutions for bonding and sealing indoors and outdoors and are easy to use even for beginners. Established technologies based on silicone, polyurethane and acrylic are also available from fischer. With the new fischer PU-P EVO foam, no PU safety training is required for professional users thanks to an isocyanate content of less than 0.1%. In addition, fischer offers suitable accessories, such as application tools.
The range of fischer solar systems enables the safe installation of PV systems on pitched roofs with all common roof coverings, as well as various module layouts and orientations. Particularly in demand are the new fischer façade systems for PV façades, including new PV clips with sliding nut FSMN M8 R and horizontal clamping profiles ATK 103 PV.
